Bill Simmons Gets Called Out: Part 22,844
I read Simmons all the time, and I listen to his podcast religiously (it’s back today!). He gets a lot of heat, but he’s still one of the best bloggers/Internet journos around. He does have his fair-share of bullshit points though. One of them is that he continually postulates that people his age didn’t get laid (as much) in college because it was in the middle of the AIDS scare. It has always struck me as being very… convenient. Anyway, on today’s podcast Bill’s friend “JackO” is the guest. Bill makes some remark about how Magic Johnson had just came out with the news he was HIV positive and that it killed everybody’s sex life. JackO laughs in his face and totally mocks him. You can tell Bill is kind of bummed. It’s funny as hell.
